Natural has raised $30 million in Series A funding to build payment infrastructure designed specifically for AI agents, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of autonomous commerce. As artificial intelligence becomes capable of completing increasingly complex tasks, the company aims to eliminate one of the biggest bottlenecks in automation: payments that still require human approval.

Founded in 2025 by Kahlil Lalji, Eric Wang, and Walt Leung, Natural is developing an agent orchestration platform that enables AI systems to securely send, receive, store, and manage funds. Its technology allows AI agents to complete transactions independently, creating a seamless financial layer for businesses deploying autonomous software.

The funding round was led by Forerunner and brings Natural’s total funding to $40 million. The startup plans to compete directly with established payment providers by building modern financial rails that support both traditional bank payments and stablecoins. Its platform is designed to help AI agents transact with businesses, consumers, and even other AI systems without constant human intervention.

As AI adoption accelerates across industries, demand for autonomous payment infrastructure is expected to grow rapidly. Natural believes future digital economies will generate significantly more transactions than today’s financial systems can efficiently handle. By redesigning payment architecture for the AI era, the company is positioning itself as a key player in the next generation of fintech innovation, with the potential to reshape how autonomous businesses exchange value.
